One of the most revered ochayas (geisha teahouses) in Gion, it is a high-class and very exclusive establishment. Usually this ochaya is invitation only, and only the very best geiko entertain there, making it quite expensive.

The traditional street of Gion, Hamnami Lane is known for the beautiful cherry blossom trees that line the street. Often you will see geiko passing down this street, for nestled amongst the beautiful cherry blossoms are numerous ochaya.

One, if not the largest, Okiya in the Gion district, it is the residence of many of the cities top geiko. You can always catch a glimpse of them coming and going, and if you're lucky, they might take notice of you as well.

Gion
Gion, the ever famed red light district, known for it's beautiful entertainers, called geisha (or geiko, as they prefer to be called), and it's impeccable tea houses and okiyas. At night, lanterns adorn the street, bathing the district in a soft glow. Though with current events, it is often dangerous to roam the streets alone at night.
